Das Heidi Braun Cottage ist ein historisches Gebäude und hat seinen Namen von der letzten Bewohnerin, die hier vor der denkmalgerechten Sanierung (ausgezeichnet beim Eifel Baukultur Preis) über 40 Jahre gelebt hat. Heute ist unser gemütliches Cottage der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Eure Ferien auf dem Land, mitten im mittelalterlichen Ortskern gegenüber der Burg und dem Biergarten gelegen erwartet Euch Gemütlichkeit pur mit Antiquitäten und moderner Küche und Bad.
The Space:
- Erdgeschoss: Der offene Grundriss kombiniert den Eingangsbereich, die Küche und die Wohn- und Essbereiche. Der Kaninofen garantiert gemütliche Abende. Der Fernseher ist mit einem Amazon TV Stick ausgestattet. Waschmaschine und Trockner befinden sich unter der Treppe.
Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet mit Mikrowelle, VCeranfeld, Backofen, Spülmaschine und Kühl/Gefrierschrank.
- 1. Etage: Das moderne Bad ist mit einer Dusche und einer XL-Dusche ausgestattet. Das WC ist in einem getrennten Raum untergebracht.
- 2. Etage: Hier befinden sich die beiden kleinen Schlafzimmer, eins mit Dopplebett und eines mit einem Einzelbett, Gemütlichkeit und unter den Dachschrägen.

Im Dorf findet ihr alle Dienstleistungen: Restaurants, Bank mit Geldautomat, Bäcker, Supermarkt, Bahnhof (2km.), ideal zum Entspannen auf dem Land, für Fahrrad-, Wandertouren (Kylltal, Kloster Himmerod), Eifelpark Gondorf, Trier (28 km.), Moseltal, Echternach, Luxemburg, Bitburg (Brauerei).
Es gibt in der unmittelbaren Nähe mehrere kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten.
NEU! Zubuchbar für 8 EUR tgl. und nach Verfügbarkeit Nutzung des Co-Work Space im ehemaligen Sraglager in der Nachbarstraße mit 4 Arbeitsplätzen und 2 Zoomarbeitsplätzen, siehe Fotos. So ist nun auch eine tolle Auzeit für Studierende oder Beschäftigte im Homeoffice möglich!
Getting Around:
Die nächsten Bahnhöfe befinden sich in etwa 2,5 km. in Philippsheim (kein Taxi) oder in Bitburg-Erdorf ca. 6 km. an der "Eifel-Express-Linie Trier-Köln". Öffentliche Bus verkehren gelegentlich nach Bitburg.
Man kann gegenüber vom Cottage parken, um in Ruhe auszuladen (Zeitbeschränkung 1 Std wird normalerweise nicht kontrolliert). Ein kostenloser öffentlicher Parkplatz befindet sich auch außerhalb des Dorfes vor der Burg, von dort sind es ca. 20 m Fußweg. Eine weitere kostenloste Parkmöglichkeit besteht neben der Kirche in ca. 40 m Entfernung.
Other Things to Note:
Unser Cottage befindet sich mitten im ruhigen Ortskern, völlig ohne Durchgangsverkehr, direkt gegenüber der Burg. Der Ort ist sehr ruhig; aber ein lebendiges Dorf und kein Museum. Wegen des Denkmalschutzes hat unser Cottage keine Rolläden und die Schlafzimmer können nur mit blickdichten Vorhängen und Blenden verdunkelt werden.

Ich wohne nicht im oder am Haus; aber ich bin bei Fragen immer erreichbar. Eine Nachbarin aus dem Ort kann jderzeit helfen, wenn etwas haken sollte.
