It is centrally located and the center of Fischerhude can be reached in a few minutes and has been the home and place of work for painters, sculptors and musicians for generations. In 1895 rural life was enriched by the settlement of the painter Heinrich Breling, who grew up in Fischerhude, and after the arrival of Clara Rilke-Westhoff, Dietrich Speckmann, Otto Modersohn Museum and other artists became known as the "Village of Peasants and Artists".
