Because of the height differences, there are challenging tours to be made. Nearby is the highest mountain in the region: the Schwarzer Mann, where you can even ski if there is enough snow.
About 2 km away is the village of Bleialf, where you can find several restaurants and do some shopping.
If the weather is warm and you want to go swimming go to the freibad in Waxweiler. Surrounded by greenery, you will find several pools here. Famous Prüm, with its beautiful Basilica and local shops and restaurants is a nice destination for an afternoon. With children, the Eifelzoo in Lünebach is also highly recommended
