Summary: I came from Canada where I spent more than 6 months between the cold and the snow, I discovered this gem of a city called Vilassar del Mar (20 km from Barcelona), its people are very very friendly, it is safe, quiet, you can visit a different beach every day by train (it is 1.1 km away from home), you can walk to the train and you can find several groceries stores , restaurants etc.The house is perfect for a family (even 2), since it has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a terrace for barbecues, the owner was in communication with me all the time, very kind! It was definitely a very good decision to come here, maybe some people like downtown more, but my trip with children focused on beaches and more beaches and visiting downtown by train several times after a day at the beach. I recommend it and I am sure I will return, even more so when the beers on the beach cost me 2.5 € (3.8 CAD)
