Welcome to the southernmost apartment of the Palatinate Forest! Our house is situated amidst beautiful nature only a stone's throw away from the German-French border in the small hamlet of St. Germanshof directly at the transition between the Palatinate Forest, Vosges and Rheinebene.

The house itself is an old customs office building - a prestigious building from the beginning of the last century, which, with its high ceilings and large windows, looks more like a townhouse. A town house in the middle of nature!

The apartment has just been renovated and has about 80sqm 2 bedrooms each with a double bed (2 single beds (200cmx100cm), which can be pushed apart if necessary), 1 living room, and a daylight bathroom with shower + bath and a kitchen with dining area.
The nearest town is the charming, medieval town of Wissembourg (F), about 4km away. There you will find a variety of (French) Supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants and bistros. The next German supermarket (supermarket / DM / drinks / bakers / butchers / banks / doctor / pharmacy / restaurants) can be found only about 1000m further at the German Wine Gate (Schweigen-Rechtenbach / German Wine Route) or in large selection in the next town Bad Bergzabern (about 16km).

Enjoy the secluded forests and winding streets of the Palatinate Forest. Hike the romantic castle ruins and rugged sandstone formations of the Wasgau! But perhaps you also like the charming little villages of Alsace 'just round the corner' ?! Or rather the vines (and vine products) of the Palatinate, which you can enjoy in the small winegrowers' villages with their innumerable wine locals and stopovers along the German wine road. Or how about an excursion to Strasbourg with the rather leisurely train service of the French train (direct connections from the Wissembourg next door). Or to Neustadt? Or Speyer, Landau, Karlsruhe ... Well, or maybe just relaxing in the garden with a glass of wine and a fresh baguette with a view of the gentle hills of the Vosges just across the border on the other side of the valley.
