Situated at the foot of the ancient castle of Ariza, perhaps the most important castle in Aragon in the 14th century due to its border with Castile, Tierras de Frontera is located in the heart of the old town and in the picturesque area of the Jewish quarter, our hostel is a place where tradition meets modernity. This building, which was once a pilgrims' hospital, has been carefully refurbished and opened its doors as a hostel in 2025, offering a welcoming refuge for all our visitors.
From the hall, you will be able to admire a beautiful arch embedded in the wall, a vestige of the apse of the old church of Santo Tomás that adds a touch of history to our hostel. Climbing the wooden stairs, you will reach the first floor, where you will find our three cosy rooms.
The Jimena room, which sleeps 10 people in bunk beds, has a balcony offering stunning views of the village, the Jalón valley and the Solorio mountain range. Bavieca, with 6 people in bunk beds, perfect for smaller groups. The Tizona room is special, for people who need more privacy, it has 2 single beds and a large bathroom from where you can enjoy another part of the arch of the church of Santo Tomás. All rooms have private bathrooms and independent air conditioning, ensuring your comfort during your stay.
At the back of the hostel, you will find an outdoor space that can be used as a car park or as a games and entertainment area, ideal for enjoying the good weather and the nature that surrounds us.
