In the surrounding area are many hiking trails and destinations. The city center of Halberstadt, Wernigerode, Thale, Quedlinburg and Blankenburg can be reached in 10 to 15 minutes by car. In the village there is a supermarket, a butchery, a farm shop, farm cheese dairy and a deli bakery. The house has a covered terrace with barbecue.
