This charming and romantic village cottage is the perfect holiday getaway with the exceptionally beautiful lake Le Malivert at Molieres in the unspoilt Tarn et Garonne. The lake has a daytime life guard, beach and snack restaurant. The water quality has the highest ratings Class A (DDASS) and has been awarded both labels "Pavillion Bleu" and "Station Verte". Swimming in this water leaves the skin feeling nourished and soft unlike in many swimming pools where chemicals are used.
The house is the whole house unshared.
Built shortly after the revolution this cottage was built using oak beams recuperated from the garrison building of the neighbouring Chateau. It has been lovingly restored to maintain its original character. The walls are built from a combination of stones, bricks and mud and straw between oak supports.
The village has a 13thC church and chateau but has diminished in size and importance over the centuries in favour of its neighbouring village Molieres 1.5km away. Molieres has shops, bakeries, restaurants, bar and mini supermarket and of course the lake.
The cottage is across the road from the Chateau and has stunning views to the north and south being on the highest point in the area. Garden furniture is provided together with a BBQ, table, chairs and large umbrella that is supported in the center of the table.
