This attractive, well-maintained holiday home is situated in the Ore Mountains, just 10 km from the border of Germany. It occupies an excellent quiet location and from the mountain meadow you have a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. The house is enclosed by a carefully tended garden. This is a separate apartment suitable for a max. of 8 persons, with a private [front] entrance. You have the ground and first floors at your disposal. In an isolated part of the building there is another holiday apartment as well as the apartment of the friendly proprietors. For your daily groceries take a short walk to the village (600 meters). For more serious shopping you can go to Jáchymov, 2 km away. The landlord can provide you (at times) with fresh goat milk or goat cheese. The building has a private parking lot with sufficient space.
On the ground floor of this cozy and by all means fully furnished holiday apartment there is a hall with a separate toilet and a stairway leading to the first floor. The modernly furnished kitchen/dining area has a dinette with a corner seat, a kitchen unit with an electric stove complete with 4 hotplates, and an oven. There is also a fridge and a microwave. The living room is meant for relaxing: there is a lounge suite and a settee (cannot be used as a sleeping place) as well as a satellite TV. On the ground floor you will find a bathroom with a bathtub, toilet and washbasin and one bedroom furnished with two single beds. On the first floor there are three bedrooms, two of which have a double bed while the third room has two single beds.
The Ore Mountains are a 150 km long mountain chain on the border of Germany and the Czech Republic. It is the basin of the Ohre (Eger) and Labe (Elbe) Rivers, with extensive coniferous forests on their banks – a true paradise for hiking, cycling and mountain biking along the numerous signposted routes. The neighborhood is also rich in sports facilities: play miniature golf or tennis, participate in fitness programs in the spa buildings of Jáchymov, swim in Ostrov nad Ohrí (10 km, a complex of 3 pools) or enjoy thermal baths in Karlovy Vary (20 km). Springs of 72º C spurt water to a height of 12 meters. You can stroll in the so called colonnades, where Tsar Peter the Great, Goethe and Beethoven once walked. Or you can go shopping and admire the Bohemian crystal and porcelain with the famous “onion pattern”. History and architecture go hand in hand in lovely little towns like Klášterec nad Ohrí (29 km, with a 19th century castle, statue park and porcelain museum) and medieval places like Ostrov (10 km, with a renaissance-baroque castle and, castle park) and Kadan (36 km, a market place, town hall, baroque Trinity pillar, ruins of old walls and a former executioner’s house). Bohemia is also known for its fine cuisine and there is nothing better than to finish your day with a tasty meal at one of the small restaurants situated directly in the neighborhood.

In the living room there is a table with chairs and a couch set against the wall. For those fond of relaxing, there is a lounge suite and a settee (cannot be used as a sleeping place). There is also a satellite TV and cupboards. The bedroom on the ground floor is furnished with a double bed. On the first floor there are three bedrooms, two of which have a double bed, the third has two single beds. There is also an additional bathroom on the first floor, equipped with a toilet and washbasin. The whole house has central heating.
Within 300 meters of the house there are ski slopes with two (tow) lifts. At a distance of 500 meters there is another slope with lifts ideal for families with children. You will find three major ski centers not far from the house: Neklid (5 km), Boží Dar (7 km) and Klinovec (5 km). Each one of these are top locations with high class facilities: parking lots, ski and snowboard rentals, ski schools and buffets. There are mostly light and easy downhills but black pistes are not lacking either. The lengths of the pistes vary from 300 to 900 meters. Snowboarding, snow tubing, evening skiing – you have it all here! Prices: a 6-day lift pass for adults is 62 €, for children under 10 y. o 38 € (prices 2004/2005). Cross-country skiers can indulge in their favorite sport on the 3 km long biathlon track or one of the signposted paths in the immediate vicinity. In spring and autumn enjoy the wonderful nature while hiking or cycling along the signposted routes. The neighborhood is also rich in sports facilities: play miniature golf or tennis, participate in fitness activities in the spa buildings of Jáchymov, swim in Ostrov nad Ohrí (10 km, a complex of 3 pools) or enjoy thermal baths in Karlovy Vary (20 km). Try the special ambiance of resorts like Teplice, Klášterec nad Ohrí (29 km) and Karlovy Vary (20 km). In this film and music town you can admire 19th century architecture, stroll through the colonnades or do some shopping. Culture and history are to be found in Klášterec nad Ohrí (with a 19th century castle and a porcelain museum), Kadan (36 km, with a beautiful town hall, baroque Trinity pillar, ruins of old walls and a former executioner’s house) and Ostrov (10 km, a renaissance-baroque castle). And don’t forget that the former silver town of Jáchymov (Joachimsthal) with its royal mint (now a museum) has lent its name to the word "dollar".
