Finca La Majadera is located in Las Rosas, close to La Esperanza where the Town Hall of our municipality El Rosario is located. The house has been designed for rest and peace, which is why it is totally private and exclusive to whoever is staying in it.
As it is totally private, you can enjoy the exclusive use of the garden where you will find some fruit trees such as the orange tree from which you can make your own orange juice with the freshly picked fruit. Walking along the terrace you will see that it is fully equipped: table and chairs, hammocks or equipment to sit comfortably and enjoy the sun and the birds singing, the BBQ has everything you need to enjoy a day of grilling.
The garage at Finca La Majadera is for the use of our clients and the staff who work on our farm. It is the only common area. To get to our Villa I you have to go through the village, which is a rustic area with some peculiarities, which makes the area so quiet.
El Rosario has a significant archaeological, historical and ethnographic heritage, as well as an abundant gastronomic offer that will offer you tasty dishes representative of the Canarian cuisine, so from our Villas you can visit a municipality full of places of interest, paths and areas for walking, cycling or just strolling, from Finca La Majadera we recommend some of them:
- Bosque del Adelantado : Very close to the historic centre of La Esperanza, capital of the municipality, you will find this small redoubt of laurel forest. Located in a ravine, this area survived the logging and livestock farming that took place in El Rosario after the conquest of the islands. It covers an area of 25,397 m² and reaches an altitude of between 850 and 875 metres above sea level.
- Historical Road of Candelaria: The great historical and ethnographic value of this road, which was vital for communications within the island in past centuries, led it to be declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 2008. Around it you can see old wheat threshing floors, the Casa del Pirata and the Ermita de Nuestra Señora del Rosario (Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary). It is worth mentioning that this path is kept alive thanks to the fervour of the pilgrims who walk it every year until they reach the Villa de Candelaria.
- Casa del Pirata: Also known as the Casa de los Mesa and the Casa de Amaro Pargo, it was declared of Cultural Interest in 2003. It is an old Canarian-style country house, practically in ruins, which is said to have been the home of the famous Tenerife pirate Amaro Pargo. From the building, located on a watchtower, there is a panoramic view of the southern coast of Tenerife that would make it a strategic point from which to watch out for ships appearing on the horizon.
- Ermita de Ntra. Sra. del Rosario: Located in the Machado area, this hermitage, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, is dedicated to both Nuestra Señora del Rosario and San Amaro. It is located next to the house of the Pirate and the historic road to Candelaria, to which it is closely linked. It was born out of the need to find a place to protect pilgrims from the inclemency of the weather. The interior of the chapel houses a proto-baroque altarpiece from 1672 and an image of the Virgin from the 17th century.
- Iglesia de Ntra. Sra. de La Esperanza (Church of Our Lady of Hope): Neo-colonial in style, it is built on land that was once occupied by a hermitage. Inside there is a Baroque image of Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores and a 17th century San Juan. It has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. It is located in the centre of the village of La Esperanza, near the town hall.
- Montaña Grande viewpoint: If you go up the TF-24 road towards El Teide you will find a clearing that opens up in the middle of a pine forest with hundred-year-old trees. Don't hesitate and take the detour to find excellent views of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the agricultural area of El Rosario and the rugged Anaga mountains. If you look to the south you will have interesting panoramic views of the Malpaís de Güímar and even the paradisiacal coastal village of El Médano.
- Playa de la Nea: Considered by bathers to be one of the best beaches in El Rosario, it has an average width of 25 metres and a length of 210 metres. The gardens of its promenade surround this black sand beach with several apartment buildings around it. La Nea beach has a guarded parking area and public transport, as well as toilets, litter bins and a kiosk-bar.
- Radazul Marina: El Rosario has a marina in the Radazul area, protected from the wind thanks to its location. This marina has various services to guarantee the comfort of its users, from travelift, fixed and mechanical cranes to restaurants and cafeterias with direct access from the quay. Around it there are several diving schools that take advantage of the transparency of the waters of El Rosario to practise this sport that is so popular in Tenerife.
- Las Raíces Recreational Area: The recreational area of Las Raíces is located in the pine forest of Las Raíces and is the meeting point for those looking for fun in a natural environment. On weekends and holidays it is very popular with students and families, and under the shade of its pine trees all kinds of celebrations are held in which the company of loved ones, nature and good food are the protagonists. The recreational area has toilets for its users. Las Raíces also has a free camping area for which it is necessary to reserve a place in advance.
