The small, rural village of Kummerow is located directly on the eponymous Lake Kummerow - the fourth largest in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern - in the middle of the picturesque landscape of Mecklenburg Switzerland. Ship, boat and canoe trips as well as fishing trips on the lake or the neighbouring Peene are just as worthwhile as excursions to the Reuterstadt Stavenhagen, to Malchin or to the monastery and castle complex of Dargun.
