The house has been, in its long history, a presbetry, a school and a post office. Today it is a beautiful family home with many of the original features still preserved and has been completely renovated to the highest modern standards. It can accommodate between and 8 people (3 double beds, 1 large single bed and a double sofa bed). The private, enclosed garden, accessible by a stair case, has a swimming pool (with alarm), with sun loungers, a BBQ and everything you need to eat outside and enjoy the long, warm summer months. The large living and dining room can fit the whole family, with space to work, eat and watch TV. The kitchen is well equipped, with all the appliances you would expect in a modern home. Wifi is available throughout. The entire house is exclusively accessible to guests with the exception of a cupboard in one of the bedrooms, where we store our personal effects.

The perfect base from which to explore the region, the house is 15 minutes from the Canal du Midi and is in the heart of the Cathar country, with its castles, abbeys and medieval cities all within easy reach. Mediterranean beaches and the Pyrenees mountains can both be reached in an hour.
Located 15 minutes from Castelnaudary and within an hour of the airports in Carcassonne (35 minutes) and Toulouse (50 minutes), the house has convenient transport links. The cities of Perpignan and Narbonne are also easily accessible.
