ABOUT US
Open to the public since 1995, La Casa de Paco Martín is a rustic Castilian room, built in 1928, distributed over two large floors and surrounded by its own private garden of 700 m2, with swings, barbecue, closed parking and views of the mountains . It was exquisitely rehabilitated by its current owners, Paco and Carmen, as rural accommodation and is rented full. The sun enters the house from dawn and bathes it with its rays until the late afternoon. It is in the urban area and the access is paved.
We are pioneers of rural tourism, being the 9th house officially registered with the Junta de Castilla y León, in the province of Segovia.
WHAT YOU WILL FIND IN THE HOUSE
We have 5 double bedrooms with bed linen and bath and toilet towels, 2 full bathrooms, large fully equipped kitchen, large living room with sofas and armchairs for all guests, TV and a large open space on its second floor. In it you can see the framework of beams and columns of classic wood of Castilian architecture. Two of the bedrooms are on this second floor, along with one of the bathrooms.
OUTSIDE: Garden with barbecue, outdoor furniture, swings and slide. In addition to 700 m2 of a very careful garden, you will also see an old cija, the chicken coop and the cooker of the original construction of 1928.
INSIDE: Washing machine, iron, dishwasher with a tablet, microwave, ceramic hob with oven, large fridge, toaster, coffee maker, blender, manual juicer ... in general all the necessary utensils to cook and dress a table for twelve people.
La Cuesta has 40 neighbors and about 80 during the weekends. It is very quiet, at 120 meters above sea level and, being on a steep hill, the views of the mountains and the mountains are exceptional.
eye!, the town has no supermarket; the closest are in Turégano (10 km), Torrecaballeros (12 km) and Segovia, in La Lastrilla, 23 km). A very popular option for our guests is to buy the lamb and suckling pig in Turégano and leave it in the tahona where they roast it in a wood oven, to pick it up and enjoy it at home.
The area where La Cuesta is located is known for its excellent Castilian cuisine, rich in roasted lamb and piglet, with two of its "gastronomic temples" Torrecaballeros - highly recommended - and Sotosalbos just 6 and 12 km away respectively.
