Holiday in the Harz Mountains!
This large holiday home for up to eleven people is located in the centre of the quiet village of Radisleben, next to the old school and the church.
It has a living space of 190 square metres, which is divided as follows: On the ground floor there is a large hallway with an old wooden staircase leading to the upper floor, a large living room with satellite TV, DVD player and library, a second smaller living room, a first bedroom with a double bed (140 x 200 cm, 1 mattress), a second bedroom with a double bed (180 x 200 cm, 2 mattresses). Two modern bathrooms are located on the ground floor: one with a free-standing bathtub and a washbasin, the second with a large shower, WC and washbasin (from 2016). There is also a separate WC. The large kitchen with a dining table for eleven people is fully equipped with dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, complete crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. On the first floor there is a very large bedroom with a double bed (180 x 200 cm, 2 mattresses) and another bed, a children's room with bunk beds (2 x 90 x 200 cm) and a football table. There is also a third bedroom with a double bed (140 x 200 cm, 1 mattress) and a modern shower room (from 2015) with WC and an infrared cabin (similar to a sauna).
In November 2021, all carpets were removed, new PVC was laid and the entire house was freshly painted. The furniture was almost completely replaced: shelves and vertigos from around 1900 as well as new wooden bed frames, slatted frames, pillows and duvets!
I would like to respond to the reviews that have been submitted in the past as follows:
There is a WC upstairs!
The kitchen is complete with new pots and pans, lids and cutlery!
The oil odour once described is no longer present as a cellar door to the oil tank has been installed!
From Radisleben (a district of Ballenstedt) you can reach the following sights and attractions: Ballenstedt Castle with its large castle park (5 km), Falkenstein Castle (6 km), the spa town of Gernrode (8 km), Quedlinburg, which is under Unesco protection (10 km), Thale with the Hexentanzplatz, the Bodetal and the Bodetaltherme (15 km), Halberstadt (20 km), Wernigerode (33 km), a narrow-gauge railway, the Roseburg, the Gegensteine, a huge motorcross area, a large forest playground near Nachterstedt, a golf course and much more. Cultural events, old towns with restored buildings and marvellous nature will delight you.
Many DVDs and a small library invite you to relax! Please bring bed linen, tea towels and towels from home.
