Our small half-timbered house is located in an absolutely quiet yet central location within the historic half-timbered center and within the city wall of the spa town of Bad Sooden - Allendorf (Allendorf district). Walking distance to the Werra, to the Werra bike path and to the hiking trails on the "Green Belt".

Furnishing
There are three floors in the house. At ground level you will find a fully equipped kitchen, with an additional freezer and a fridge with freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, pads and also a capsule machine (Nespresso are also available. A dining table for two, expandable, is also in the kitchen. The ceiling height in the kitchen fluctuates. In some places it is approx. 195 cm, otherwise 200 cm. You enter the kitchen through a small porch.
In the back of the ground floor you will find the living room, which has been extended like a conservatory (glass roof and underfloor heating) with access to the covered outside seat. In the living room there is a flat screen TV (52 inches) with a Dolby Surround system. Furthermore, streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime can be used here. A DVD and Blue-Ray player is of course also connected.
You will also find a guest toilet on the ground floor, which also houses the washing machine.
A staircase leads you to the upper floor. There is a sofa on the gallery that invites you to read and relax. In the attic is the "children's room" with two single beds (90 cm wide), as well as the bathroom with toilet, large vanity, bathtub and shower facility.
In the 1st Upstairs is the "parents' room" with a double bed (box spring bed) ((160 x 200 cm). The room is also equipped with a 26 inch flat screen TV.
The house is absolutely allergy friendly!

outdoors

You have a carport on the other side of the house, directly opposite. The outside terrace is partially covered and not visible. Garden furniture can also be found here. A patio heater is available so that you can enjoy the peace and a glass of wine on the terrace in autumn and winter. The outside terrace can only be reached from inside the house and is limited by others (backyard building). The half-timbered house is in a row with other half-timbered houses. However, there is only one garage entrance on one side.

Please take into account that this is a more than 250 year old half-timbered house, albeit modernized and restored. Nevertheless, there are rooms in the house with a ceiling height of no more than 200 cm.
The house is located within the city wall in the immediate vicinity of the city center. Bakery, butcher, pharmacy, supermarket u. a. are within walking distance in a few minutes. A car is not needed. Even the playground is only 50 meters away and the wonderfully located swimming pool with a view of the Werra Valley can be reached on foot in 10 minutes.
Free internet is also available throughout the house.

We love dogs. welcome. No additional costs will be charged for your additional family member. However, this does not apply to the tourist tax, which must be shown separately.
Another special feature is that you will find both drinks and groceries. You can use them for a small fee (cost price).

Surroundings

You will find all the things you need every day in the immediate vicinity of your holiday home. So you don't have to use a car.
Even the hiking opportunities to the former border checkpoint Schifflersgrund and to Gobert or Söder Wald begin right on the doorstep. In winter you can be on the "Hohen Meissner" in about 20 minutes and can go skiing, cross-country skiing or tobogganing. With almost 800 meters above sea level, you will find good snow conditions here on many winter days. A look at the web cam at the Meissnerhaus is enough.
The region offers numerous opportunities for exploration. Starting with small city tours around the graduation house in Bad Sooden, on the historical track of the salt boilers and the special features of the "two castles view". Numerous discoveries can also be made on canoe tours on the Werra, cycling tours on the Werra cycle path and mountain bike tours in the region of the former zone border.
There are also day trips to Eisenach, Gotha, Erfurt or Göttingen. The Hainich National Park with its climbing forest and treetop path in northwest Thuringia are an experience.
