Positive: Fantastic location, equidistant from the train station and the old port, with two supermarkets a few meters away and loads of snack bars etc in every direction. It was amazingly quiet inside, given its bustling location. The apartment was flooded with natural sunlight from its three full size patio doors running the length of its three narrow, but usable balconies. The furniture was modern and comfortable, but there were no wardrobe or drawers in the huge bedroom. Communication with the host was excellent and Laura was waiting for us on arrival and was always swift to answer messages.

Negative: The layout didn’t work. You enter the property, the bathroom is on the right, you then go through the dining room ( where the wardrobe is situated) to the living room, then there’s the kitchen to your right and the bedroom straight ahead. It was a nuisance having the wardrobe so far away from where you bathed and slept. It was a nuisance ( for pensioners like us) to have to navigate to the far side of the flat to the loo at night. It was a nuisance making food and carrying it so far to the dining room. Such a shame as the flat could be magnificent. I only made one meal because the kitchen had no natural light, and only one dim ceiling light. It was so depressing. There were very few utensils and the 2 sockets for the kettle, coffee machine, and toaster were behind the microwave.
