The building was built in 1818 by architect Christian Philipp Wolff as Wildhof of the Prince. Originally, on the grounds of today's Tiergarten, formerly part of the castle park, a wild gate, was held in the Dam, red and wild boar for amusement and consumption. The game master of the prince, who lived and worked in the so-called Wildhof with his family, managed the enclosure and took care of the marketing of venison. Iron hooks in the vaulted ceilings of the basement are still a testimony from this time. In addition to beef, pork and vegetables from regional organic farms, game and fish from the forests and lakes of the region will be on the menu. In the middle part of the building there is a cozy restaurant with bar and fireplace. In the right wing there is another restaurant section, which is well suited for family celebrations and corporate events in addition to the daily gastronomy. In the left wing, the spacious kitchen and the staircase to the attic are housed. Here are 8 comfortably furnished, fully air-conditioned guest rooms with a total of 15 beds. From the spacious, under old chestnut beer garden, one has a good view of the Tiergarten.
