Ellens Cottage has an exceptional large garden where children (and parents) can let off steam in a safe environment. If you are bringing your dog then the garden is an ideal and safe spot with fences all around. The cottage isn't overlooked at all by any neighbouring properties and is entirely independent.
It has a large fully equipped kitchen with an adjoining dining room, so whoever is doing the cooking is never on their own! From the dining room there is a hallway with stairs to the first floor. From the hallway there is a large sitting room with TV and sofas. The sitting room opens out onto the garden terrace through French windows, where there is a large table & chairs for enjoying the sunshine, and a BBQ. A perfect spot as it gets the sun for most of the day including the evening sun.
The cottage is within the working farm site so there are farm related activities going on during the day. This includes a cider works where we make our own Kentish Pip cider from apples grown on the farm. We also have a small vineyard and make our own wines. Visitors have the opportunity to visit the shop to taste the ciders and wines. Please note that there will be some farm related background noise, but it is never intrusive.
