The Steinhuder Meer is the largest inland lake in Lower Saxony. It is ideal for cyclists, hikers or water sports enthusiasts (sailing, surfing, kitesurfing). In summer there is also an hourly bicycle bus (line 835) from Wunstdorf to Mardorf, Steinhude or Hagenburg.
