The seaside resort of Carnon-Plage is the closest resort to Montpellier (13 km, around 15 minutes by car). It is a family resort with 7 km of fine sandy beaches stretching from the port of Carnon to La Grande-Motte where you will find many activities. You can also find shops and restaurants on the beach or on the port. Local markets are organized 3 times a week during the summer period and a craft market is present on the port every Wednesday.
The good: ideally located near the Petit Travers where you will find peace and quiet. Accommodation 35 minutes walk from the port and shops or a few minutes by car.
