Other beaches are within 15-20 minutes by car from the apartment, and the popular sandy beach Playa del Inglés, lies a 20-minute drive (20 km) west of Vecindario in the sea resort of Maspalomas. The centre of Gran Canaria offers many great opportunities for hiking and cycling, and the biggest city, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is a 30-minute drive (37 km) north of the apartment. The island's airport can be reached by car after only 15 minutes (13 km).
