What could be better for a successful holiday than a holiday home with a lovely private swimming pool in the Minervois, Occitania, only 39km from the city of Carcassonne and the beaches of Gruissan? Here we offer you a pleasant villa for 4 people, located about 1 km from the village of Pouzols-Minervois. As soon as you enter, you will be conquered by a covered terrace that awaits you with table and chairs, the scents of the wooded garden that breathes the Mediterranean with typical essences, and the beautiful swimming pool, 1.30m deep, which has a Roman staircase. At the back of the house, you will find another small terrace, very quiet. The interiors are welcoming, with patio doors leading to the terrace at the front and back of the house. Even though from the front terrace you can hear the road, below the villa you will enjoy a lot of space for children's games. You will be able to park your car in the shade under a shelter. Pouzols-Minervois is a small wine-producing village built on the Route des Vins, between the Aude and the Hérault, in the heart of the Minervois, on the road that links Carcassonne to Béziers. It is a very beautiful village very close to the Canal du Midi (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a splendid 17th century structure, and renowned in particular for its panoramic view over the Narbonnais plain and its Romanesque church. The hills that overlook it offer visitors a great diversity of Mediterranean plants that delight hikers in search of fragrances and hidden paths, with beautiful views over the plain that stretches from Béziers to Narbonne with the backdrop of the Pyrenees and especially Mount Canigou. Amateurs will be able to visit a museum-cellar and wine cellars that produce wine from 2,000 year-old vineyards. These quality Minervois wines, made with ancestral know-how and modern winemaking techniques, are regularly rewarded in national competitions. Among the places to visit in the surrounding area, the magnificent villages of Aigne and Bize-Minervois (5 km away), and especially Minerve, a listed village, are not to be missed. 18km away, Saint-Chinian, 27 km north-west of Béziers, is a lively village that is also worth a visit, situated in the foothills of the Cévennes. From the Canal du Midi to the banks of the Orb, discover a total of 17 villages of character in the heart of an exceptional vineyard, just a few kilometres from the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean, between Béziers and Narbonne, Montpellier and Carcassonne.
