Further destinations in the closer vicinity for an unforgettable holiday: Witches' Dance Ground with zoo and open-air "Harzer Bergtheater" theatre, Roßtrappe (a rock in the Harz, from where you have a good view on the Witches' Dance Ground), Quedlinburg - world cultural heritage city, Wernigerode - e. g. a trip to the castle with the special railway, Rübeland - stalactite caves. In winter, the region offers winter hiking trails and cross-country ski trails (in approximately 12 km ).
